Impossible to reach someone for account changes. Got charged $500 for them to pick up their equipment I was renting and no longer needed.

I rec'd a post card in the mail for a promotion to switch to AmeriGas and I can save 20 cents a gallon and free leased tank swap and both have promo codes behind them. Called **************** to ask questions, will I get both promo codes if I switch, the *** told me yes I would, asked about tank rental, a few other things. Called back a few days later to set it up delivery. Rec'd the tank and they came back to fill the tank and rec'd a bill in the mail for over $600.00 and the promo codes were not included. Called to see why they were not. The *** told me he would take care of it. Rec'd another bill for the same amount, called again and got the run around. The *** that I was talking with did not see any notes on my acct that I called before or about the promo codes, asked to speak to a manager and they would not transfer me, kept asking for a manager and they finally got me to one after being on the phone on hold for over an hour. I have called 7 times and emailed 3 times, even email a picture of the post card I rec'd because they needed that and no response or answers to why my bill was not changed. I should have done some research on AmeriGas before I went with them because I see all the comments now that I should have went with a different company. Just trying save money and I get the shaft instead. Stay away from AmeriGas

Someone needs to shut this company down. The customer service clearly are scammers. Immoral and wicked this company. I hope they get investigated. Please stay away from this company! They billed me and the driver never delivered my propane. They refused! I froze all winter and they gave me a bill for not fulfilling service. Evil company.

This company has been my propane supplier for 25 years in that time we had a problem with the conductivity of the tank 8 years ago and they dropped an anode bag in it and never came back to check it out even though I asked several times recently our tank had a leak and the company had to come out and fix it for which they decided they would Bill me for their service call I think that we rent from the company the company does not care about safety at all and is very greedy how can they bill me for repairs on a tank that we rent especially when it was leaking and needed to be checked for safety years before this and was not done by the company their prices are outrageous they do not maintain their equipment and they pass unnecessary costs under their customers because they do not keep up with the maintenance or safety of their equipment

I tried to close out my deceased mother-in-law's service at **************************************************, on October 29, 2024. We sold the home; my wife was the executor of the estate. We've received a **** since November for a pick-up fee of ****** for them to get their tank. They never picked it up until late February or early March. They own us for 84 gallons of propane that was in the tank and previously paid for by my M-I-L. We have called them every month when we get a ****, and they have said they waived the late fees but are still charging them for Feb and Mar. I sent a death certificate to close the account in early Nov. by email. They lost it, and the account wasn't closed until Dec. when I sent another DC. I told them via phone in February to deduct their ****** and send us the amount they owed us for the propane. Today, we received a **** with two late charges: the ****** APP&S dispatch fee, a pick-up charge of ******, and a total of ******. They deducted a credit for the propane in the tank (84 gal) =******. The **** says we owe them 180.43.Legally, the estate is closed, and we have no service with them and never have. Our contact info was given only because my wife was the executor. We are over a year past the 90-day term for creditors to file on the estate in **. We actually aren't liable for the ******, we are due the refund for the propane that was previously paid for. Amerigas has closed all their offices locally to walk-in customers, so I can't get this resolved. I agreed to pay the ****** but nothing else. I wasn't even aware of other charges until I received the March ****. This is robbery at its finest. All I want is the money we're owed and for them to cease and desist with ****s. They can forget about us paying an additional 180 dollars because we don't owe it and there is no estate account to pay for it at this point. Their star rating is only a one because there is no Zero.

I purchased gas last year in July & the delivery driver fill my tank but left me a message that my tank was not correct. After reading his message on the ticket he left I called ***************************** checked my tank and said everything was good. But they still left the ***** shut off. So I went the entire winter of AmeriGas lying saying they would come out to cut my gas back on but I would wait all day and no one would show. But the driver would always say I wasn't home. Until I spoke with Mr ****** on March 14th of **************************************************** July of 2024. I just wanted to let you know who you're dealing with before you order from AmeriGas.

We have spent the entire winter with no heat and hot water. In the summer, we paid over $700 dollars for them to fill our underground tank. They broke the valve on our underground tank and claimed they put gas in the tank, the gauge read 20% after they claimed that they filled it to 80%. Each time we call, they say "someone will be there to fix the valve". We are still waiting for them to come and fix the valve they broke. After repeated phone calls and no-show appointments, a "technician" showed up September. Then he told us, "I have wrong part and will return the next day". We are still waiting for a "technician" to return and fix the valve. After more repeated calls and a visit to their office in ******, **, someone came with a small tank of gas, the kind of tank we use to grill. Within a couple of days, it was empty. More repeated calls and no-show appointments, and telling us, they have to wait for snow to melt before they can fix the valve. Then they bought two big tanks and connected one on the side of our house. We were happy to see these two big tanks. But it was short lived happiness, a few days later we started to smell gas leaking. Another set of repeated called to their emergency number, we were told "a technician will be out to check the tank", you guessed it No Show. Finally, when a "technician" come out, he showed up at 1:30 a.m., and told us, "I'm not a technician I just came to deliver gas" This makes no sense, we called to report a possible gas leak. He shut off the gas connection. We are back with no heat and hot water, in the cold. We got a bill from them, stating they, transferred gas from one of the big tanks to the other. All lies, we are still with no heat or hot water. We closed the account this week, and they scheduled to get their tanks off our property. Guess what? NO SHOW. It's been a frustrating experience dealing with Amerigas. They are liars and thieves. This is the worst gas company, please BE AWARE OF AMERIGAS.

If I could give this company a negative number I would. We purchased a home a year ago. At that time there was an AmeriGas Propane Tank outside that was connected to our fireplace. We filled the tank one time. We received a printout from the driver of the delivery truck but never signed a contract with them. We created an online account in order to pay the bill. Fast forward. We do not use the fireplace an elected to have the tank removed. The Amerigas website indicated a $299 charge for tank removal which in itself is ridiculous. The surprise came with the final bill which included a $119 Dispatch Fee for the truck to come and pick it up! No mention of such a fee was ever made during our conversation with them regarding the tank retrieval. I contacted Amerigas at least 6 times to correct this issue and even talked to a Supervisor. I was provided Reference Numbers and told that issues would be corrected but they never were. The last time I called I was told that the change was Pending in their system and they could to do anything. Today I again called and was told they will not take the charge off and in addition they are charging me a Late Charge for their inefficiency. Their system is a nightmare. It has taken as long as 40 minutes to get a person on the line and apparently they lie when they do talk to you.

After being a loyal customer for over 20 years we are finished with this "business". They do not care about their customers anymore. We were put on a schedule for delivery on February 20th, and now, 3 weeks and 2 phone calls later, we sit here with 0% propane! It's still winter! What the heck happened to this once-reliable company? First, they stopped providing service repairs 5 years ago, then they put on these useless tank monitoring Wi-Fi contraptions that are never accurate, and now they can't even provide reliable and truthful service and propane deliveries! We are done, and we hope that they get the message!
