1 starNever use this company!!! Not only has it been taking 4 week to get propane delivered, they chronically send text/email that propane will be delivered next day and they never show up. They also never communicate why it wasnt deliveredor when it will be delivered again. The customer must call and get different outsourced oversees opertators in various countries who sincerely apologize and say it will be put on an emergency and then after awhile urgent deliverythis happens over and over again with no delivery and the customer must always initiate contact. When asked to get tank removed have told it could take awhile, I might need to pay for it and I might be w/o propane for awhile. I have talked yo the drivers and they say a delivery should only take 3 days . Uf I could give 0 stars I would! Grade F-Review fromKim D

1 starWe have been Amerigas customers for over 20 years, paying a tank lease fee annually. A 70 gallon delivery got our attention when we saw the bill and we started looking around. The Amerigas price is almost $2/gallon higher! I called to close our account and was informed of the T&C that we'll be charged $299.99 tank removal and $119.99 trip fee. I get it, we weren't paying attention as T&C change but this is ridiculous pricing to stop people from changing suppliers. We're probably still changing suppliers after being more careful in reading all the fine print before signing on.Review fromBarry R

1 starUnbelievably ********************. I dont even know where to begin, except to say there should be a full investigation into AmeriGas by 60 Minutes or any serious consumer watchdog. This company lies, misleads, and outright takes advantage of its ****************************** pricing is completely erratic and arbitrary. I was paying $3.25 per gallon, while one neighbor paid $5.00 and another just $2.85 for the same gas, in the same town, from the same company. Theres zero transparency or consistency, and no real explanation when you try to ask. On top of that, they tack on a supplemental truck fuel fee so if their gasoline costs go up, they just pass the bill to you. What kind of business model is that? The local office in our town of ***** has become so overwhelmed with complaints that they no longer allow walk-in service. Theyve literally taped a handwritten sign to the door that says NO WALKINS and lists an 800 number. If you knock, they ignore you. This is not how you treat customersespecially in a small town where face-to-face service is expected. When people finally get fed up (and most of us have), AmeriGas makes it painful to leave. It cost me almost $600 just to switch providers and get their tank out of my yard. Honestly, it was worth every *****. The company has worn out its welcome here. People are ripping out AmeriGas tanks left and right. Our yards are starting to look better already.Thankfully, **** Propane recently moved into town, and theyre everything AmeriGas isntlocal, responsive, and nearly 50% cheaper. They actually care about service, and they dont ***** their customers. Theres no loyalty left for **********************. No one is looking back. In this town, theyre about as welcome as cockroaches. I honestly felt dirty just having their tank on my property.Avoid this company at all costs. There are better options, better prices, and better people to do business with. AmeriGas doesnt deserve a dime of your moneyor your patience.Review fromDavid D

1 starThis company charges about $3.00 more per gallon than other companies in this area. Their customer service is a joke, sat on hold for over 30 minutes times 4, trying to cancel my service with them and can't get anyone to talk to. We have had them as a propane provider for more than 25 years.Review fromJuanita N

1 starVery very poor responses to customer requests. Service appointments are not honored and the customer is not informed of cancellation. This has happened repeatedly. Long hold waits when called. This is the way I would run a company if I wanted it to go bankrupt. I give it one star because I cannot rate it zero.Review fromDeb M

1 starIn 2023, my father passed away after being a loyal AmeriGas customer for over 20 years. Following his passing, I requested that the account be closed and the billing address on his account be changed to mine to ensure I wouldn't miss any future correspondence. In October 2024, we sold his property. We didnt receive any invoices until late February 2025, when we were billed for a tank rental covering February 2025 through February 2026. I immediately called to request that the tank rental charge be removed, as the new owner was not using AmeriGas. Thats when I was told there would be a $419 tank removal fee, which I found to be excessive. However, I was also told Id receive a credit for the unused propane at about $3.55 per gallon, so I assumed the net cost would be around $150 to close out the account. When I received the final bill, however, I was shocked. While the tank rental charge was credited, I was now charged $399 for tank removal and an additional $150 Early Termination Fee, totaling nearly $600. I called AmeriGas customer service, but was connected to representatives in overseas call centers who were unable to resolve the issue. When I was transferred to their resolution center, I received the same lack of assistance. I was told the Early Termination Fee was because I hadnt had the account for three years. I explained that my father had been a customer for over two decades, but was then told that when the billing address was changed to mine, AmeriGas created a new account in my name, effectively resetting the clock and triggering the early termination fee. To make matters worse, I was also told the tank had 0% propane remaining, which seems highly unlikely given the partial fill just 8 months prior and the fact that the new owner of the house was not using propane. After a frustrating 30-minute call with no resolution, I bit the proverbial bullet and paid the nearly $600 just to be done with AmeriGas.Review fromCassandra Y

1 starI was quoted one price and invoiced for double. The fittings leaked within 2 months of install and I was also charged for dispatch and repair. When customer service called, no one can resolve the issue. I requested a copy of the original invoice and PDF updater was used on a newly generated invoice with my signature. This business is a FRAUD!!Review fromDianna C
