Had this company install new porch and new shingles on roof only a few months ago. First off with the porch they do not know how to read a tape measure. The one railing was installed crooked they said they'd fix it. They still made is crooked, eneded up fixing it myself. They used the cheapest ugliest wood they could find with knots and chips all through it. The major concern now is every 6 x 6 post holding up my roof is slipt from top to bottom. One of these days my roof will be my new lawn ornamate. Next the roof they have broken just about every board underneath the shingles without replacing and today I find my roof covered in roofing nails which my roof is bound to leak now. They also installed wrong colored flashing and when asked to fix I was told I was being too picky. There roofers also spit chew tobacco all over that I had to clean up

    RE: Complaint # ********

We removed the porch at the customer's residence and installed a new wolmanized wood porch in its place. The new porch is extremely well built with YellaWood wolmanized lumber, which is a high quality lumber. The porch was inspected by the Borough Building. Inspector throughout the process for all updated building codes and any engineering or other requirements and it passed inspection every time. The customer states that the 6x6 posts have splits in them. All wolmanized beams have cracks in them. It is called checking and is present in all treated wood posts. It does not affect the structural integrity of the posts. I forwarded the customer articles from the Internet confirming this when he mentioned it to me in the past and I am attaching them for you to see also. We also came out and repaired the crooked railing that he complained about and did not hear from him again concerning that issue. We believe this deck is built extremely well and that it looks beautiful. I also informed the customer that the deck would need to be sealed and stained after six months to give the wood time to dry out. This is also stated in the articles concerning treated wood. I did offer to reimburse him for the materials to do that. In addition the old porch was original to the house. It was 105 years old. The new porch is built with much better materials and will last even longer than the old porch. It will not fall down.
In response to the claim that the flashing on the chimney was the wrong color, it is true we did mistakenly flash the chimney with black aluminum. However, five days later on November 28, 2022 we reflashed the chimney in white as the customer had originally wanted. I am attaching a picture of the chimney with the white flashing. I am not sure why he sent you that picture and complaint concerning this. He also stated that that the boards in his roof are broken. We dispute that also. There was one board in the attic that was broken and we repaired it. The roof will not leak. We used all the top quality roofing materials and professional installers.
If there is any further information required for these issues please feel free to contact me. I appreciate your help concerning this matter.

    Sincerely,

    David H****** President
