I rented the Hollywood Theater for my premier of my movie, "The Barn Part II" on August 13th & 14th 2022. I spoke with theater manager Jennifer J**** who made our agreement and no money would be needed up front, rental cost of $1,000 would be deducted from the ticket sales (which the theater soley controlled). I was informed on August 14th after the screening that after the rental fee was deducted the theater owed me $1,550 and a check would sent "shortly". Over the course of the last 5 months I have been repeatedly told that the check would be sent by Ms. J**** via her "boss/financial guy". In November I was called by Ms. J**** and told I now needed to supply them with a W-9 since they are a 501c, after doing so still nothing happened. As of January 31, 2023 I have yet to receive a check for my profits. At this point I feel as though the business has completely robbed me of all my funds from my home town premiere screening and they have no intentions of ever paying me. Unfortunately they are still renting the theater to other indie filmmakers and that is a shame others are at risk of being robbed as well.
