We were receiving continual automated calls saying there was a power outage in the system. Repairmen were unable to find the problem, so to avoid being wakened by these calls, we placed the system offline. As a result, we were paying for monitoring we could not use. As advised by a Securitas representative on the phone on 3/10/25, my husband, **** ********* sent Securitas an email advising them that as of 3/14/25 at 8:00 AM CDT, we were discontinuing service with Securitas. On 3/17/25, we were sent a form to fill out, saying the earliest service could be terminated was 30 days from the day of that submitted form. We wrote a letter disputing the 30 lead time, as that was not what was told to **** ********* on the phone by the Customer Service Representative. Securitas insisted we fill out their form. I did so, crossing out the section insisting on the 30 day notice, and sent the form via email and registered mail The return email listed on that form was invalid and bounced back (we have the emails documenting this fact). In addition, the mailing address on the form was invalid, and tracing the certified mail via the USPS website documented that the address as listed on the Securitas form was also invalid, so the letter was being forwarded. In addition, Securitas could not open their own form, and asked that we provide the information again in yet an additional email. I pointed out that these were all stalling techniques. On March 19, 2025, I received an email stating that "cancel request has been submitted". March 27, 2025, I emailed Securitas asking them to provide proof of cancellation. I have heard nothing. We paid $323.52 for service from 1/1/25-6/30/25. Excluding the weeks we had the system down, 1/1/25-3/14/25 was 40.56% of the monitoring time paid for, so at the very, very least we should be refuned $192.30. This doesn't include all the time we spent dealing with Securitas' stalling. I can provide all the supporting emails.

I have attached a scan of the certified letter we sent to Securitas which was returned to us as “FORWARD TIME EXP RTN TO SEND”.  This was the address given in Securitas’ official cancellation form, and is yet another documentable occurrence of delay and/or fraud.

I did receive an email yesterday from ******************************** signed by ****** ** indicating we have been cancelled as of 03/14/2025.  However, there is no indication of a refund for the $192.30 for the balance already paid for monitoring through 6/30/2025.

We thank you for your continued help in resolving this matter.

I purchased a *** ***** panel from Securitas Technology Corp on Jan 12, 2023, as part of a security and door access system totaling $12,334.27. We ran all wiring ourselves to reduce costs. Additional equipment was purchased on Aug 4, 2023, totaling $6,409.55, for a combined investment of $18,743.82. We have paid a monthly fee of $44.16 and a quarterly fee of $777.75. After a burglary in Mar 2024, we paid $5,725.17 for repairs, completed in Jul 2024. Due to recurring service and billing issues, we switched to Vector Security in 2025. At that point, we discovered Securitas had retained dealer admin rights and a lockout code, preventing our new provider from servicing the system, despite full payment. I made six formal requests, including a final written notice on Mar 21, 2025. No response was received. DMP tech support and inside sales confirmed Securitas has the ability to remove the lockout and release dealer admin rights. This is not a technical limitation but a choice. We were never told Securitas would retain control post-sale. I’m now forced to purchase and reinstall a new panel. This complaint documents misrepresentation of ownership, service obstruction, and anti-competitive behavior. I seek accountability and reimbursement for unnecessary replacement costs.

REQUESTED THE CANCELLATION OF SERVICE TO SECURITAS TECHNOLOGY BY EMAIL ON 07/13/25 AND WE ARE STILL RECEIVING RECURRING INVOICES AND SOME PERSON IN COLUMBIA SOUTH AMERICA TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT STOP SENDING US INVOICES - I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY FOR LAST 8 MONTHS. THE REASON FOR THE CANCELLATION WAS BECAUSE YOU CANNOT TALK TO SOMEONE IN THE UNITED STATES AND NO ONE WILL RETURN YOUR CALLS.

Haven't received bill for Feb, 2025 or March, 2025, I don't know if my service is covered, because, the # I usually call for false alarm, etc., has been disconnected. I called #'s that I had, and was transferred from one place to another with still no answers.

I pay by mail, and just want to be billed on time, and I need to know where to call to report a problem and give my ID #

Also, the name and address didn't show through window on envelope. I called on that, no result.

We have not had a functioning residential security system since Aug 2024 (confirmed by the Service technician). We first noticed an issue in November since we work from home and don't often set the alarm. I called and had a tech come out. We were told that a simple transformer was the problem, it was ordered, and then we never heard anything for a few weeks. I called and found out that the tech had left the company and they had the part - of which someone else came to install - only here for 10 minutes. The system would not power on. We were then told to order a new panel on our own as it would be cheaper. I ordered one and installed it, and the system still did not work. The tech then came out on 1/16, 1/17, 1/22, and 1/27. Each time trying something different, but not knowing what the problem was. During the 1/22/25 visit, he brought another tech out and after some problem solving, they were able to get the old panel powered, and said it was a cellular card issue. They ordered a new one. On 1/27 they came out to install a new one, and it still did not work. I told the tech to remove the card and I was not sure what I should do next, since he told me that the solution was then to re-order a new panel. I was never given estimates, informed of cost, nor authorized any repairs. I have also been in contact with ***** ********* of which I have a very detailed e-mail chain for the past 2 months. In which I have shared my concerns, asked multiple times to escalate to a supervisor (of which she says someone named *** will contact me and never does). I am happy to share the entire email chain. In which I was pormised a credit of $165.33. Today I received a bill for 1,074.89, no credit of which I was promised in the email, and they still have not responded to my request to cancel service. This company has left us without a working security system, no fire protection, and wants to charge us an exorbitant amount for repairs that were never authorized or worked.

I have been dealing with Securitas Technology for the past 6 months regarding my security system. My door lock was broken , I called them on Aug / 28 wanting a technician to come and look at it. They sent him out in Oct and he said lock needed to be replaced. He returned in November but with the wrong lock. He bypassed the system and said he would order the correct one. I have ever since been trying to deal with this company yo get the proper lock so I can use it with my security system by they constantly give me the run around. I have gone as far wanting to cancel my account with them and they have said if I do I will have to pay for the remainder of the contract. This company has taken over from another company . I did not agree to any contract as the previous one was open contract. I am wondering what my rights are . I do not want to be with this company anymore and feel I should not have to pay for something that I did not agree to. Your advise would greatly appreciated.

Impossible to cancel service for malfunctioning equipment. Have been trying since March 2024. Got a bill for $517 to remove their equipment. The major equipment is from another business, installed by the previous owner of the home. Charges keep accruing in spite of phone calls. Evidently I have to send snail mail to cancel = in 30-60 days after receipt. Predatory business practices.

We paid this invoice in August 2024 to cover Security system monitoring services from September 1 2024 -February 28,2025. In September I was told by a Securitas employee that they had never received a signal from our system and they weren't sure that our home was even monitored by them. We had previously been monitored by ******* Security, who sold their accounts to Securitas. I immediately wrote them (Securitas) to cancel my service and refund my payment. They set my cancellation date at Oct 1, 2024. Since then I have made multiple attempts to call my "account manager" who never returns my calls, and anyone I talk to at Securitas has failed to follow up with my refund. I have sent 10-15 emails and never receive a response. This company is horrible, I would never trust them to "protect" my home.

This message is regarding my problems with the Securitas company. my household has had the monitoring security system for approximately 8 years. Originally is was called Fluent, then Stanley , now Securitas. Last June 2024 we called to get assistance with changing the PAD agreement into my name and to fix the cameras as they stopped working again and currently don't work. Every time we called we were put on hold for hrs. Most of the time (after close to an hr )the phone would go dead and loose connection on their end. When we were able to speak to some one they said some one locally would come to the house and fix the problem and that we would be charged. We have spent well over 20 hrs on the phone trying to resolve this issues with no luck at all. They said that they could not fix the issues remotely. This went on for months. The company offered 3 months free and said if we were still not happy we could close out the account with no penalty. All this time having troubles with their system they wanted to charge my bank account other than the 3 free months. WE have politely asked to cancel the contract and asked them to remove all equipment from our home, still not resolved and equipment not removed from the home. I have received a letter in the mail from their collections department saying that I owe them $2261.07. All we have asked for is good quality customer service and communication. No body from the company ever phones, emails or follows up with the problem, and for them to not charge my bank account when the system is down. I have since filled out the cancellation form and closed out my bank account. I refuse to pay for no service or communication in any way. I own a small business and have raised a family and paid all my bills and mortgage from my supporting my own customers by good Communication and quality service. This Securitas company seems to think rules do not apply to them. I have uploaded some emails, cancellation form and collections letter

I received an invoice from this company Securitas Technology for a service I did not request nor did they perform. I had this company back in 2021, since November 2021 I have not heard from this company and have not signed a contract with them or have any dealings with them. I had used them and after no contact with them, I hired a new security system who installed their system in my house and who I have a contract with. On 1/08/2025 for the first time in 4 years I got a call that my alarm system was going off and there was an intrusion alarm going off. There was no alarm going off and then a man from this company showed up to my home, inspected my system and said he can't touch it because its ADT. I asked him who he was and why he was in my home. He said I had a contract with them but they have failed to provide any contract that I have with them and now got charged $205.00 for this man showing up to my home. This company is a fraudulent company that extorts elderly people. I contacted them and said if there is any contract with them it needs to be cancelled immediately. I had my attorney send them a letter and they refuse to cancel this contract that does not even exist and now got this invoice.
