    I was scammed out of $575 by J & J Mechanical after Home advisor linked me to them, and had me thinking that they were a legitimate business. They never did any work and I was unable to get in contact with them after they stole my money.

    We had a sump pump failure and had some flooding in our basement. We contacted ******* to remove carpet and ******* the basement. They recommended J &J Mechanical to replace small amount of drywall and install new carpet. We received an estimate from J&J for $6,250.00 to tac strip, padding with vapor barrier, carpet of 625 square feet and 50 square feet of finish drywall. The drywall was replaced in a timely fashion, but we had ***** order new carpet on March 20 and made a down payment of $3,125.00 on March 23, 2024 and ***** has not been back to lay the carpet and now he will not return phone calls or text. I feel he needs to either finish the job he quoted for us or issue a large refund. I would hate for him to exploit other people by not doing jobs he has agreed to do.

    We had a fire in our garage in December of 2023 and we hired this company to replace the drywall, insulation due to smoke damage and to reinstall the shelving and lights . We paid upfront since we needed a closed invoice to proceed with the listing and selling if this home, due to a job relocation. We were told that it would only take a couple of weeks to complete the job. After months and dozens of unanswered calls to the company we finally got someone to come back over to the house to work on it. But when we left the house and the state in May of 2024 it still had not been fully completed and they still had their lifts a tools in the garage. We were also informed by our insurance company that we were over charged by them by $1000 since he didn’t replace the garage door motors and we had to hire another company to do that. The list of items from the insurance company that he agreed to fix included the garage door motor replacements. So we were charged for that on their invoice. We’ve attempted to reach out numerous times to get the refund of the overcharged amount and we can’t get a call back.

    We hired the company back in October to do a reconstruction on the property after a tornado. Paid them 40,000 dollars from our insurance and come out of pocket an additional amount of 7500. They don't show up to the house more then they do and when they are there they do not complete close to even 4 hours of work. The work performed isn't even close to quality work. We cannot get anyone to walk through the property to fix any kind of issues. The communication is horrible. The list goes on.
