I booked a room at the comfort suites at **** ***** *** ********* ** on 6/18/24 for 5/7/25-5/12/25 for $908.74 ($181.74 per night). They want to amend it to $448 per night. I told them that I wanted to pay the original price. I never requested a cancellation but they went ahead and cancelled it because they said I needed to pay the higher rate I would like a resolution where I pay the original rate that was advertised.

I booked a room at this hotel on 6/18/2024, for the dates of May 8-12th, 2025 at a rate of $170 a night. An above average price for this hotel already and a price that has been posted for these dates for this hotel for over a month. After booking the manager contacted me and stated the the rate was now $500 a night and if I didnt want to pay that then they would have to cancel the reservation. I refused to pay an over 100% markup from the price I had agreed to pay when booking and my reservation was cancelled. This should be illegal, once you accept a price for something that is the price a bussiness is required to sell it as. I contacted the corporate office of Choice Hotels who agreed that was not right an egregious to do.

-I stayed at this hotel (In room 314 ) 03/22-02/24. Reservation number ********* Upon Check in, there was a Tesla, "Charging" in the drop off loop. The cords covered the sidewalk and we were unable to get my 83-year-old father (Who walks with a cane) into the lobby. This is not only unsafe, but likely violates ADA regulations. There was no other entrance. -The Smoke Free Hotel was not smoke free. In fact, the 3rd floor smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. I told the front desk. They attempted to spray some sort of air freshener to cover this smell, but it made it significantly worse. This scent triggered my asthma and my father's. I talked again with the front desk and went to CVS to get medication. -The hotel itself was not taken care of - I was sad to see the dirty linen cart in the hallway for my entire 36 hour stay, food and cigarettes all over the hallway and even a paper number sign hung up where a room number was no longer hanging. Also, the housekeeper had her small child with, which was unsafe, and quite sad. The men's Lacrosse team that was there partied until all hours of the night. I again told the front desk. Not what I expected! I am sad about this - I like this chain of hotels, and stay often due to the smoke free promise. I would like my bill to be adjusted accordingly. If you are unable to help me, please let me know the next steps of escalation. I think it's a fight worth fighting as it could impact health and safety, and possibly some labor laws with the toddler housekeeping situation. I have photos if you need them. I have reached out by phone (Talked with ****) and email 7 times and no one will respond to my communication.
