He said he went to the gas station located at 2676 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43211 on Thursday, September 14th, and bought cigarettes. He paid with a $100 bill. The clerk did not have a uniform on or a name tag, it was an older man. He gave me cigarettes and change. I returned on Saturday the 16th and bought cigarettes and a bottle of wine. I tried to pay for it with the $20 bills I received in change from Thursday.   The clerk on Saturday said it was a phony $20 bill. I asked him how he could tell? And asked if he had a marker so I could see it. He said no, he didn't have one. Then he said he would not take the bill. So I said, well here is another $20 bill I got from you on Thursday. He said he couldn't take that one either. Then I got a couple of smaller bills out of my wallet and paid and left.  I walked to another store, Staffords Market, and asked them to look at the bills. They used their pens, and confirmed they were counterfeit bills.  I returned to the gas station and called the police. They came an hour later. One officer was talking to me, and the other was talking to the clerk. I asked him to take a report, and he declined. He said I needed to contact the prosecutor's office.  He called the prosecutor's office this morning, who referred him to the Secret Service at ************. He talked to ******* ******, who said I should bring them the bills, and referred me back to the Prosecutor's office. I called them back, complaining that I could not find any information on the owner of the business so they referred me to the Secretary of State's office.
