Overall, this company does good work, however their professionalism, attention to detail and efficiency leave a lot to be desired. There were a few ignorant and complacent mistakes we made re: contract, but this company came recommended from neighbors and family friends who had outdoor living spaces completed, not indoor/home remodeling that we hired them for. Our job was relatively simple: closing in a covered porch for more indoor space(~100ft). 3 walls and a roof were already in place. all that was needed was a 17 footer and block wall, new 17 ft exterior wall, beams to support roof trusses and finishing work--drywall, flooring, paint, electric etc. The estimate for completion at time of signing contract was 12 weeks. Our job took 23 WEEKS. We made no changes to the plans, it was simply poor planning and lack of attention given to our job. Pros: employees and sub-contractors (yes this company uses them) are very nice. Price for work is very fair. Quality of work is above-average. Cons: (unfortunately a long list): owner never met with us after receiving plans to review job despite asking several times. Multiple weeks-long delays in work d/t poor preparation, planning--i.e. owner 'did not realize' that new concrete wall was to be poured vs block causing 3.5 week delay, owner ordered wrong size door, had to tell owner the size of windows on the plan because he 'could not read them'. We had to act as 'project manager' on multiple occasions coordinating work with subs, speaking with county engineer, etc. Employees have a lack of awareness/respect for property--leave construction and lunch trash in yard for days/weeks. employees used only a broom and dust pan for clean-up (never a shop-vac). employees used our garden tools and ladder on more than one occasion to perform work. Our job never felt like a priority for this company. Owner never met with us when job was complete to see if we had questions, were satisfied. Owner was pushy with getting final payment.
