Had our driveway replaced June 21 2022. Had a one year warranty on material and workmanship. Called them within that time frame for some issues that needed to be repaired. Have called and scheduled over 10 times for the work to be done and they don,t show up and never call me to let me know that they are not going to come. When I call them back they always have an excuse. Equipment problems, plant broke down. Just want the repairs made like Mike the owner said he would do.Business Response

We here at Tricounty Asphalt have no problem responding to complaints. We are more than willing to make right of any situation where a customer of ours feels like they have not received fair treatment or haven't received the labor / work they paid for. Likewise, we expect the same. We cannot respond to this complaint, considering, we cannot make out what more than half of the complaint is stating. We request a fair opportunity to respond to this complaint by asking the BBB to enforce for this complaint to be rewrote so that it is legible. We do not feel comfortable moving forward until this is the case. Thank you very much, Robert S****, Tricounty Asphalt.Customer Answer

******* **** and ***** ******* sent an invoice to Tri-County to refund the amount we had to pay to another company to replace the driveway that Tri-County laid. We attempted to work with Tri-County for months and was lied to, told they were on their way, never showed, we sat many hours and days waiting for them. Many weeks we did not get replies. After several weeks of not hearing back we decided to have another company replace the driveway. It was an embarrassment. Had to be replaced in full. BBB limited my complaint originally. I have attached the full statement with timelines and the invoice I had already provided to Tri-County. We are asking for the refund of $7,084 paid to renew. We paid Tri-County $9500.00 plus a credit card fee of $475.00 total $9975.00. The credit card fee we were overcharged by $190.00. The contract states 3% fee and they charged us 4% fee.
We want reimbursed $7084.00

Hello, I had tri county asphalt re seal my driveway for $2xxx.xx mid summer 2022 Immediately after, I had contacted the owner of this company directly to let him know I had black asphalt overspray on my white fence and concrete areas. I informed him via text with pictures. From there, I had four separate no call, no shows for weekends in a row dealing directly with the owner of this company. Excuse after excuse after excuse. From coronavirus to a flat tire to my guys just didn't show up I was very lenient the entire time, and after the fourth no-show, I expressed I needed to get this done. I just got my driveway sealed I've got some overspray on my white fence and concrete. He simply argued with me. It was a terrible experience. After that they did come out when I was not home and spray painted my white fence with "white" spray paint. You can clearly see where they spray painted it and they got spray paint all over the driveway. They've been informed about this and continue to make jokes about it. From here I have nowhere else to go but to file a complaint and to sue to get my fence back and order. It's pretty unfortunate.Initial Complaint

In Feb 2022, I contracted with Tri County Asphalt to install an asphalt driveway and turn around on my property. On April 4, they begin the work. They did not order enough asphalt to complete the job and had to come back the next day, on April 5. The evening of April 4, I contacted them and let them know there were low spots on what they did complete, Nikko, who I spoke to about this, agreed and said they would address this on the following day. They came the next day and poured more asphalt on the low spots and poured the rest of the drive. Where the low spots were filled, the asphalt is coming loose to the point that if it rains it is washing away. This is also happening where they poured on the second day. There is also a beginning of a pothole in 2 different places of the driveway. They are currently small, but once it gets cold and water gets in there these will explode. On Aug 1, I called Michael, at Tri County (owner's son) and sent him a picture of my concerns and he said he would send "the whole crew" the next day. No one showed. Aug 3 texted him again and said "Noticed you didn't show up......" He responded that he got caught up and would be out the following day, again, no show. On Aug 11 I reached out via the company website and received an email that someone would come out the following week. Again no show. Aug 26 I sent a follow up email letting them know I was not happy. I got a call from Carly at their office assuring me that someone would come out on Aug 27 to inspect. Larry from Tri County showed and looked at my concerns and agreed that the areas need to be addressed. Said something about they were cold pours and not adhering properly. Also the second day pour was done incorrectly because someone was "playing with the asphalt too much" He took pictures and said he'd send them to Michael. I have heard nothing from the company since.
