1 starOutrageously expensive! Copay plus a location fee. They wanted $1500 per visit for physical therapy, went out of their “parameter” and found a place for $100. I was required by insurance to have 6 visits before an MRI would be allowed. So $9,000 or $600, what a deceitful place!Review fromJennifer H

1 starOne of the staff made derogatory statements calling me slow minded and went onto have others bully me calling me a ***** ***** and that I have nothing to offer society.Review fromMarla D

1 starCardiac ICU is horrible nurse Taylor held back pain meds because a patient upset him. That is a terrible way to treat people. The staff is not very compassionate or knowledgeable Dr. A**** from ICU seems to be a cover-up queen very fraudulent and tries to cover up others mistakes so immature and childlike so disappointed in the overall experience. I really felt like they were better than that, but I guess you are only as good as your employees.Review fromTL D

1 starAVOID DR. RYAN F***** AT ALL COSTS! We asked Dr. Ryan F***** for a simple referral to a local sleep doctor—something that should have been straightforward. But instead of referring us to a doctor in the area, he deliberately sent us to a sleep specialist within the Cleveland Clinic system ONLY—and not just any doctor, but one located TWO HOURS AWAY in Weston! This is beyond ridiculous. It’s not just bad service; it’s greedy and unacceptable. Patients should have the right to choose a nearby doctor, but Dr. F***** clearly cares more about what benefits Cleveland Clinic’s bottom line than what’s actually best for his patients. This is a disgraceful level of care—completely ignoring patient needs in favor of corporate interests. If you value your time, health, and the ability to choose your own doctor, STAY FAR AWAY from Dr. Ryan F****** I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy.Review fromLeila B

1 starI have a few health issues so have experienced a broad range of departments at Cleveland Clinic. To put it mildly, it’s been a nightmare. The wait times, understaffing, and extreme disorganization is exhausting, time-consuming, and infuriating. For example, I told my primary care doctor that I was struggling with symptoms from one extremely common health issue (that 50% of the population experiences in their 40s to some degree) that were significantly exacerbating my other health issues. She sent me to a specialist who sent me to another specialist who sent me to another specialist. The earliest anyone in each department that I've been handed off to could see me is 4 months, so it's now been over a year that I've been trying to get really basic help to a common problem. Even though I'm very clear with schedulers about why I'm scheduling the appointment, every single specialist says at the time of the appointment (which i waited 4 months for) "I'm sorry -- that's not my area of expertise" and then give me a referral to another specialist. I just had a 3pm appointment, and at 2:30 I get a call that said "I'm sorry. This doctor doesn't treat that issue and said she would need to reschedule me with a doctor who does. And this is just one example. I understand that it's rated highly because of the advanced research, but quality of care is inexcusably horrendous. As a point of comparison, I was with ****** in Denver for 8 years before moving here. There was never one time that I left without submitting a compliment, and I never had one complaint there. The difference is astounding.Review fromDena K.

1 star11/18/24 I actual would not even give the Cleveland Clinic Functional Medicine one star! Eight years ago they were top notch five stars. I had to wait three years on a waiting list just to find out if I should change the recipe of the supplements & vitamins that they put me on eight years ago. After several calls & a walk in visit I was told over & over we can’t help you & you are on a wait list. Sept. 18th 2024 I finally got in, after more phone call two days prior they finally assured me that my visit was covered by my insurance & I would only have to pay a $5 co-pay. I asked for this in writing, which I have. The doctor took me off some of my supplements because she said they were thinning my blood & were causing my skin tears & bruising. Then I was put in a room with lots of different people with lots of different diagnoses & we were shown a video on how to eat! The website they told us to go to afterwards for several hours & three days of trying did not work. The website finally said on day four that it was down for several days for maintenance! I got a bill for that joke group video visit for $162. I got a bill from my doctor’s visit & blood work that I was told prior it would all be covered by my insurance saying I owed $462.00!!! I have talk to my insurance who states they coded half the blood work incorrectly & I call them back & Cleveland Clinic refuses that they are in the wrong. Then to top it off 30 days after my visit all my hair starts falling out!!! I put in to request to the doctor about this & she couldn’t care less. I also put in a complaint to their OmbudsmanOffice & they couldn’t care less. Now I have to buy wigs, but I’m thankful I found a Nurse Practitioner who is very concerned elsewhere. And the Cleveland Clinic still want me to pay them $462.00. I know Doctors are not God but she really didn’t care about me. Cleveland Clinic Functional Medicine was so wonderful eight years ago, not at all any longer. Dena KarnehmReview fromsheri f

1 starBEWARE-deceptive billing practices. I'm from Fl & was in Cleve due to a family issue. I ran out of my diabetes meds&needed refills before i went back in 2 wks. I made appt letting them know just needed diabetes meds ¬hing else will be going back shortly to Fl. Was home &recvd a bill for my Serivices. Was in shock They billed $622.00 for a doctors appt. i only had a $40. copay according to my insurance policy. But the Cleveland clinic bills as an outpt clnic and i have a $!71.85 balance from this appt after paying my $40.00 copay. Found out 1 of the things was 2 charges of $204.00 each for Behav Assmt W/Score & Docd/Stand Instrument - 96127-CPT$204.00 this was just something they told me while i waitng4 my appt in the office to go on to my CC portal and do my forms to check in. One of these was some questions about how do i feel do i feel like I'm depressed do i feel like committing suicide. I thought these were just standard questions. I had to finish this form while i was talking to the doctor in the room. If would have known i was going to be charge for this, i would have just put my phone down and never finished. I think they should have 1 made me aware that they bill as oupt hosp and 2 there would be an additional charge to fill out these forms. I had no intention of continue my health issues with Cleveland clinic - i just needed my diabetic refills. I called and the representee only read me a script to as how they bill as oupt &told i was not notified that's a lie. I asked her just to remove the chgs that were left over from ins for the mental health part & she said no. this amount from those forms left me with a balance of $108.81. I will not pay this. I went in with the knowledge that i owed for the $40.00 copay and co insurance for a a1c lab &that was it. Also, it is shwing on my ins claim & their billing as partial hospitalization. I was not hospitalized; it was a simple OV Partial Hospitalization - Less is what is on my stmt.Review fromLourdes V

1 starI have always requested that out of pockets cost be disclosed before I have the peocedure performed. Yet, for the past few years that was always the case, BUT on my last visit they deliberately faliled to inform me that their costs had gone up, so I went ahead with my usual procedure, only to be surprised by a $1,500.00 bill, for a procedure that I had always paid a deductible of $75.00 per procedure. I have tried to resolve this in an amicable way, visited their offices and spoke on the phone with several of their customer care agents to no avail. I have a right to know the out of pocket costs of any procedure before it is performed, not have to be surprised by it, specially if I had this procedure done many times in the past by the same doctor in the same Cleveland Clinic. I am very upset!Review fromLisa K

1 starTrying to get care at Cleveland Clinic is an awful experience as a patient. Trying to get an appointment with the first available cardiologist for chest pain took 5 months! Apparently, we should just wait to have a heart attack and go to the ER! The doctors are absolutely awful about following up on test results. I waited for 4 days after my ECHO and the doctor would still not respond to my my chart messages to let me know the interpretation of results and whether it was safe to scuba dive. I could not get in touch with anyone at the office to get any answer either. To make matters worse, I wait on hold 10-20 minutes just to speak with an operator when calling the clinic, before being transferred to the correct area, to then wait on hold again. The calling system is the worst I’ve ever encountered in healthcare. Nobody is there to help the patient anymore. It’s just seeing as many patients as possible to collect as much money as possible for the hospital, without any quality for patients. This system is the worst!Review fromNga H

1 starPrior the surgery on 02/26/24, I have 2 small kidney stones: 1 6 mm and 1 8mm in the left kidney. In the pre-surgery meeting on 1/1/24, the doctor told me those could be easily grabbed out by tools via bladder entry since the lithotripsy procedure was not effective for uric acid stones. After the surgery, from the CT scan on 05/17/24, I’ve found out there are 3 stones appeared in the same area of the left kidney: 1 6mm, 1 3mm, and 1 2mm. The smallest stone may be a broken piece from the previous bigger stone. From the medical record, it was shown using laser lithotripsy procedure, which was a different procedure when I was told. If the laser lithotripsy procedure was used, all stones should be pulverized and gone. So, it is not reasonable for me to pay for the surgery cost which resulted nothing done on my kidney stones.
