quickchek has customers use a digital rewards program that tracks spending and provides certain discounts coupons and freebies which at time arbitrarily does not properly compute certain items or properly apply amounts. Specifically, like a punch card system coffees are buy 8 get a 9th free, on multiple occasions the purchase of qualifying cups were not added towards my amount delaying my free cup and resulting in profit for the company which was not due them and losses to myself most recently today at their ******, ** location. In addition to this a total of $50 on qualifying items results in a $5 off purchase afterwards, amounts that are paid in excess of anything owed over the use of any coupon or discount are not added towards the $50 total despite this clearly not being the case according to their FAQ also resulting in undue profit and customer losses, occuring most recently at the same time and location aforementioned. In addition a 'refer a friend' offer which I sent to a family member and was used in accordance with their FAQ and terms of service was not applied. these incidents are far and few between but violate customer agreements with company result in losses and undue profits and are done in general bad faith or due to a glitch that has to be known to those in control. If its happening to one it's happening to 100 as we say in these situations. company refuses resolution or investigation.Business Response

Hi *****,
QuickChek does have an optional rewards program that will give the perks you mentioned. There is a requirement that your phone number is entered before each purchase, so the system can track your purchases. In checking our system, I do not see where you have reported any concern since 2021. The only way for us to look into a concern is for you to call or use the Contact Us form on the website to notify us of your concern. We will need the store location, the date and time as well as your phone number and issue. We will investigate and if there was an issue on our end, then we will add the perk.
In looking at your account, I see your recent purchases and it appears the perks are being added as they should be.
Next time you have a concern, please call us at ************ or use the Contact Us form to report your concern. We will reply within 3 business days as to the resolution.
I hope you have a good day.

Hi,
For that purchase you were rewarded the following by the system right after you checked out.You got 1 visit added.
1 Power Perk making your total 6 for your coffee purchase.
You got credit for the 2 ******* which then they system converted 8 candy purchases to 1 Candy Perks Reward.
And you used 1 $5 off of $5 that was automatically added to your account.
As far as the balance of 2.23, only .76 was added because that was the only amount that qualified. It has to be something made by QC, so products like subs, smoothies, rolls, etc count towards that perk. Prepackaged items do not count.
So, the system did give you credit for all of the perks you earned.Going forward, please free to call ************ when you have questions as to if your perks were added correctly. Only in an extremely rare case would you run into an issue because the system recognizes your purchases and applies them automatically.
Thanks,*****

I went there on Easter 3/31/24 at around 3:32pm to get gas. I asked the gas attendant to get me $20 worth of regular gas and gave him $20 in cash BEFORE he started pumping gas. He came back after a few short minutes and continued to end the transaction. He never spoke at all nor did he ask me if i wanted a receipt. So i just proceeded to leave thinking that all is good until i realized very shortly after that my gas gauge barely moved upwards! I returned to the exact same gas station and another gentleman approached me. I told him the entire situation and that i wanted to see a copy of the reciept at around 3:32pm. He gave me a receipt which showed a $20 cash transaction just like me BUT for 3:19pm. I told him that wasnt my transaction and i could proce that on my dash cam which had the footage for the front and inside cabin of my car (my windows were all open.) i proceeded to go inside the grocery area of quickchek to speak with a manager. A police was just outside and i was really contemplating this scam. The second guy confirmed that the original gas station attendant did make a mistake of only giving me $4 worth of gas instead of $20. This was a failed attempt to SCAM me. Yes i call this a scam because if the original gas station attendant KNEW that he had only pumped me $4 worth of gas, why did he take off the nozzle like the gas transaction was completed? Video footage from my dashcam is available if needed. Fire this scam artist ****. Otherwise, legal action will take place guaranteed. This Quickchek location is *****. There are Quick Chek surveillance cameras pointing to the gas pump that I had used, which is located second row in (from the side street) closest to the door.Business Response

I received an email to take a survey that would take 30 minutes. I spent almost 30 minutes taking the survey I was supposed to be sent a coupon for a free 12" sandwich the week of August 3rd. To date the coupon has not been received. I just want my free sandwich as I spent the time and did my part of the agreement.Business Response

The Complainant alleges that she did not receive a coupon for a free sandwich after completing a survey. An email was sent to the complainant containing the link to the free sandwich on 8/3. The email was never opened. The Complainant then contact QuickChek directly. In response to her call, she was given both a free sandwich and a QuickChek gift card.

Btter Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I did not receive the original 8/3 email. I searched both email addresses for it. I then contacted quick chek and they loaded a free sandwich to my account, which was appreciated and all I needed to be happy. I'm just a little confused about the gift card. I never received a gift card, but I was just looking for my free sandwich for the survey anyway. My free sandwich was good, but after I ordered it and paid for it, I was told they didn't have the bread I ordered. It was too late to cancel and get another day since you must pay first. They should update their system or post a sign in the future. It was not a huge deal. Also, I love their chicken parm sandwiches and hope they return to the menu.
