I hired G.M. to put gutters, soffet and siding on my housethe gutters and soffet I'm going to try to keep. The gutter above the garage,1 of 3 gutters will have to be rehung. I have 2' nails hanging out of my soffet. The siding is less than high schooler training. Contractor put the siding up over the frieze board leaving huge gaps and a slanted wall around the windows. The walls look and are, crooked. He took the trim boards off my corners and gable vents and did not put any vapor barrier on the bare wood before siding. Did not put a transition between the wall and gable, leaving the original bare wood siding exposed. They ripped a $1000.00 ***** camera off my wall leaving it unusable. Later I found out they cut into the wire feeding my heat pump. The owner came to look and agreed the workmanship was substandard. At the time he offered to have the same people come back and fix things because he had allready paid them, but the only way to fix things is to tear all the siding off and redo the whole siding job. Do to being threatened for payment I don't want D***** or his dad on my property( installers ).They left huge gaps around the porch light, electric recepticle, dryer vent and water spicket. They caulked the weeping holes on my windows. I simply want a different company to fix this mess the right way. I paid G.M. $24786.00 out of $32286.00. I wrote D*** V. (owner), a letter asking for $15000.00 back. He has promised to sue me. I have pictures, video, nasty text messages from D*** V. I just want, if nothing else, for him and his company to stay away from me. I have alot more pitures and video of D*****s dad ripping the camera off my wall.

For starters, this job is not even completed. We still have a square and a half of siding left to be installed, punch out work to do, and finish work to do. This was a very big job consisting of 4 different contracts, including our Gutter Magician Gutter Protection System, metal trim and soffit, and two different Architectual high-end siding products. We started the job on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2024 and we worked for a week and a half to 2 weeks. With about 2 days of work left, we ran out of siding. Since the siding was a High-end Architectural siding, it was going to take 2 weeks to get the material in, as the supplier had to order it straight from the factory. While we were waiting for the material to get in, ***** asked me to come out and look at some things that he had concerns about. I said to him, " Why don't we just wait for the job to be completed in its entirety, then if there is any issues, then we can just address it with the install crew." He was admit that i come out, so I did. So myself, and my service technician, went out to look at the job; 4 of the 6 things he pointed out, were part of the work that hadn't even been completed yet. LOL. The other 2 items, I said, "I agree with you, and we will redo those 2 minor items." So let me remind everyone again. HIS JOB IS NOT A COMPLETED PRODUCT. THINGS HE TOOK PICTURES OF ON HIS ATTATCHMENTS ARE FROM ITEMS AND AREAS THAT AREN'T EVEN FINISHED YET.

So i told him everything would be taken care of when we finish. He said, "Okay." So i ordered the last bit of siding to finish the job. When the material got in, I called ***** to schedule to finish, and he said " You are not stepping a foot on my property, and I am not paying you the $7500 i owe." I tried to reason with him and assure him that he will be extremely happy when the job was done, and he said "No." So here is where we are. My corporate attorneys have put an enforceable mechanics Lein on his property and we are filing judgment and suing Mr. *******. He owes us $ and won't let us finish the work and earn his approval. We are 100% not refunding any $ back to Mr. *******. The only way to settle this complaint is obvious. Let us finish the work as contracted and allow us to fix any areas he may have an issue with that are of reason and according to a siding expert from Marsh building products (our supplier).

Unfortunately, ***** is not mentally well. He is at minimum Bipolar, possible multiple personalities, or a touch of schizophrenia. He is very paranoid. Constantly tells the same stories of his neighbors spraying his bushes with " deer crack". He has concrete barriers on both sides of his yards, about 6 inches tall and 10 inches wide, to prevent his neighbors grass from growing into his grass, poisoning his yard with "evil grass". My install crew and I would joke about "***** A." would be the crazy guy in the morning before his meds would kick in, and then "***** B." would come around about 12pm and would be a much different, civil, and more reasonable person to deal with. But on top of Mr. ******* not being mentally well, He is really just a flat out liar. When I was out there in inspect the job, he never said one thing wrong about the siding. His siding was perfect. Now he claims his siding is crooked and not installed properly. He also claims that we didn't install a vapor barrier under the new siding. This is laughable and a total lie. The whole house has vapor barrier that has been taped and sealed. Its real simple, all you have to do is remove a piece of siding and it will tell you if there is any vapor barrier. Or better yet, lets call out the siding supplier's manufactures rep, from marsh building products, to inspect the siding. I guarantee that expert will say it has vapor barrier under it, and is installed to specification. But i will also guarantee that ***** will not allow a siding expert from marsh building products to come and look at it, because he knows this is all a lie and he just doesn't want to pay the balance. He is even lying about his camera that he claims we broke and ruined. The day we came out to install, ***** has every camera on the house removed prior to us showing up to perform the work (and there were a lot of cameras, remember how paranoid he is). I find it very peculiar that he left one camera for us to remove. He requested that we remove it. When carefully removed it, the plugs on the ends were tore off. To be clear, the camera is NOT ruined, the plugs just need to be rewired on the ends. He now says we owe him $1,000 for his camera, which again is not broke (and i would venture to say that the camera does not cost $1,000).

His story continues to change by the day. I have a letter he sent to my office and in that letter he says he is happy with the gutter and the soffits, and now in this BBB complaint he says 1 of the 3 gutters needs to be rehung. Which by the way, if he can show us gutter experts why the gutter needs to be rehung, we will do it. When I went out to visit him, the 6 line items that he pointed out not 1 of them had to do with a problem involving the siding. Now he is saying literally the entire house of siding needs to be removed and reinstalled. I am not sure what reality this customer lives in, but the siding expert from Marsh Building Prodcuts will come to the same conclusion that i am telling you. But again his story continues to change on a daily basis.

In conclusion, I have over 13,000 customers. Gutter Magician currently has 0 BBB complaints, and we haven't had a complaint in over 5 years. We haven't had a BBB complaint in over 5 years for a reason, we install quality products with quality products and quality installation, and we service our customers. Did my installation crew, who has installed hundreds of jobs, just wake up one day and forget how to install siding, trim and gutters. This ***** ******* has been without a doubt the biggest nightmare of a customer in my 23 years in the home improvement business.
