Repair wall in basement, extend gutter system by bury drainage 4-5 feet deep. Enforce front wall repair cracks on front outside and inside wall. Neither of the jobs were done and the wall leaks more than before.Business Response

In April of 22' we were called out to the ******* property to perform a foundation inspection. We offered ******************* a solution that included burying 5 downspout extensions to help move water away from the home, 3 Wall crack injection to seal up leaking cracks in the basement wall, 6 wall anchors to stabilize a bowing wall in the basement, and an interior perimeter drain to prevent future leaks from hydrostatic pressure in the basement. ******************* choose to all of the work except for the interior perimeter drain. We explained at that time that the bulk majority of the water coming into the basement was due to the hydrostatic pressure and by not completing the interior drainage system the leaking would not be stopped. ******************* choose to move forward without the drainage system, all of the previous mentioned work was completed on 06/16/22 as per the scope of work on our contract. Several times since ******************* has called with concerns of water in her basement, We have went to her home each time she has had a concern, We have resealed an anchor but each time we have informed her that the water coming into the basement is due to hydrostatic pressure and informed her that the interior drainage system is needed. Until the interior drainage system is installed the basement will continue to take on water and the anchors will most likely continue to leak periodically. We have honored our warranty, and been very accommodating in this situation, however we can not perform work for free.Initial Complaint

I had basement work done by this company. This particular company is based in *********, **. The work was completed on 5/2/24. They put in crack injections and anchors. On 6/2/24 one of the crack injections leaked and the water ran across my basement floor and under my dryer. I contacted the salesman and sent him a video. He came out the next day and stated he had let the project manager (******) know. He said it might take a few days for scheduling to get back with me but I thought it might only be a couple of days. On 6/13 I called the office and spoke with ******* who said she would send ****** an email immediately. On 6/18 I called back since I had heard nothing from her or ******. She said she would email him again and suggested I email him the video of the leak which I did. Today, 6/19 I called back since I had not gotten a response. ******* told ****** about my email and she said he viewed my video and that I would be put on the list. Why was I not put on the list when I first made them aware of the issue. I told ******* that I was concerned about it leaking the next time it rains and she said she didnt see that rain was forecasted (theyre in ********* and I am in *************** and heavy storms are forecasted for today.) She told me to continue to send videos if there is more leaking. Why? Theyve already been made aware of this. She also told me she could not give me a timeframe when someone would come out and rushed me off the phone. The crack injections are warranted for five years but it was only a month when this issue occurred and theyre in no way concerned about remedying this issue.Business Response

We had 4 foundation companies bid to stabilize our foundation. We unfortunately chose Crossroads Foundation Repair LLC, who sent two guys out that spoke no English at all. The day of the work, we could not communicate with the two guys at all. We immediately could not open the windows and doors. They over lifted the foundation and caused a great deal of damage to the exterior and interior of our home. We had the other foundation companies come out that saw the property before Crossroads and they saw the additional and new damage. One company would not even bid to repair the damage caused by Crossroads. The bid to remove Crossroads work and repair the exterior damage is almost 20k and does not address the damage inside the home. We can not sell our home due to the damage Crossroads has caused. *******************, the Co-Owner of Crossroads came out offered us ******* for damage for the lift (in writing) WE DID NOT HIRE THEM FOR A LIFT. The stress that this has caused my 76 year old mother and our family is over whelming. The website for Crossroads is all about integrity and making the job correct. This is not our experience at all. When we met with ****, he was rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone ever.Business Response

At Crossroads Foundation Repair we do have and strive to have a diverse work force. Many of our crew leaders are Hispanic. It is a requirement to be a crew leader that they must be able to speak English. We also did not receive a complaint from yourself of ****** (the home owner) about communication issues during the install. In the signed contract there is no mention of stabilization only. Our contract on page 6 of the signed contract it talks about when installing piers or lifting a foundation, cracks can and most likely will occur and Crossroads Foundation Repair is not responsible for damage. Crossroads did lift the foundation to attempt to level it out. The lift that occurred according to our records was approximately 3/8". When I visited the property, I was informed of a complaint of the front door not opening, cracks in the block exterior, not extending a drain out into the yard, cracks inside in drywall and doors not closing properly. The front door is located over 20 ft from our work area and would not have been affected by this work. Cracks in the exterior block were pre existing to the work being completed, and if you view the before photos you can see them. The drain was not extended into the yard because of 2 reasons, 1. We were not contracted to do this work, 2. Foundation water can not be discharged that close to city sidewalk or street. We do have photos that show some of the cracks inside were pre existing. The home owners daughter and son in law informed me of cracks in another room which I have attached pictures of, and also informed me that or sales representative had informed them that we would be stabilizing only. This was not in our signed contract, however I understand that mistakes and miscommunications happen. We do not have photo evidence of these cracks prior to install. If you look at the contract that was originally attached by the complainant, you will see that poly-lift was recommended on the interior slab due to the floor being significantly unlevel and many of the doors not opening or closing properly in this area. There was also interior cracks in this area that were documented. Because we do not have prior photo evidence to some of these cracks, I contacted multiple general contractors and showed photos of the cracks, and explained that the window would need to be re hung. This is where our $1500 estimate came from. I took the $1500 of of the balance owed and invoiced for the rest.
