I was trying to get my roof fixed, so I was recommended settle adjustment. I hired settle adjustment on May of 2023. Nothing was being done to my roof I tried reaching out for 2 months the office never returned my phone call. On the third month someone reached out to me by the name of ******. ****** ask me about the the check that was sent to me by State Farm in the amount of ********. She started say " In order for me to start the roof. I need the check." **** of settle adjustment came to my house to pick-up the check. Again no one reached out to me. I finally got hold of ******, and told her that I no longer want their services. ****** said " we are going to take 30% of the total per policy", which I agreed to. ****** has since then refused to give me the rest of the money. So she started to give me the roundabout. Asking of me things she never told me to do like the permit of the roof or pictures of the wood. She is refusing to give me the rest of the money that pertains to me. The total amount is ***** and 30 % of that goes to her which is ********. The remaining amount of money of ********

    Hello *****,
    We apologize for the misunderstanding.
Moving forward, we will do better communicating the claims process to our future homeowners.
    Yes,
You hired ** in May 2023 and we proceeded to file a property claim with State Farm.
-The Claim is initiated with reviewing facts of loss with your insurance company,
-Then followed with a scheduled inspection date with your insurance adjuster.
That date can be scheduled 2-4 weeks out depending on how busy the
insurance adjusters are at the time of scheduling.
-After the adjuster comes out to assess the property damage,
he then has to write the 1st estimate, which can take about 1-2 weeks.
-After we receive the 1st estimate,
we must then do a diligent review of the estimate to supplement for missing items.
That can also take 2 weeks.
-The supplement estimate is then sent to the insurance adjuster for review,
his review can take 1-2 weeks.
-When he is finished reviewing our supplement estimate,
he then decides what he is approving,
then proceeds to write the 3rd and final estimate.
-When that final estimate is established,
the ********* is issued to start construction and is used as a deposit for  production.
In this case, you did not hire our contracting company,
    you hired your own.
Hence we applied our public adjusting fee for our services of claim preparing and claim handling.
Your contractor of choice is supposed to be licensed, bonded and insured pursuant to ******** statute.
We fulfilled our duties as ********************.
We did however extend a courtesy of preparing you for your production process with your contractor of choice,
but generally, it is up to your contractor to diligently carry out the workmanship per the insurance estimate and building dept.
    Per the Public adjusters agreement,
The public adjusters fee of 30% is waived if our contracting company is used.
Because our contracting company was not contracted,
the public adjusters fee of 30% from the total claim value shall be applied.
    Your claim value was $24,181.25
    30% = $7,254.38
We collected a check for $5776.06
    We are actually owed $1478.32.
We decided not to pursue what is owed and leave the claim as is."
    Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: Not only did ****** reach out to me through text message after threatening me with her lawyers but now she is accusing me of fraud. State Farm was covering the estimates cost. She is asking for the 30% which is what was already give in to her. If settle adjustments no longer what to be involved they need to give the check back to State Farm so I can address them directly. State Farm can't intervene if the case is still active and it still is. I am paying for a service that never took place, that had horrible communication, and on top of all that accuse me of fraud.

    Sincerely,

Insurance did not cover complete roof. We had to pay out of pocket *******. ********** helped us apply for a short term loan to cover cost. We were approved. The smallest amount company would release was ****. So we released the money to settlesure / ***** building group. And here we are several weeks later and the difference has not been refunded! She said she mailed it first. Then said she would priority mail . Never arrived. So we told her we would come to the office to get the check. She said no that she would hand deliver it to our home today. 8/20/22. Texted my husband that the weather was bad and wasn't coming! It is just sprinkling, not raining! I'm done! I need this taken care of! She owes us approximately 710. Dollars ! Never got a detailed bill either! Please help us. Thank you for your time and help in this matter. ***** and ***********************
